Operation: Back To The Farm

TEENS started as an agricultural nonprofit, and though we’ve grown to offer mentoring and after-school programming through TAC, our roots have always been in the dirt.
In 2026, Old Town Auction donated a three-acre parcel at Hog Farm in Frederick County, complete with a greenhouse, planting rows, and a chicken coop. This new space gives our clients hands-on opportunities to build real-world skills: tending soil, planting seeds, growing corn, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, and beans, and caring for 45 chickens.
At harvest time, clients sell what they grow at our Farmers Market, gaining agricultural and business experience while giving back, as some of the produce is donated to local food pantries.
Operation: Back to the Farm! reflects what TEENS has always been about: helping local youth build confidence, develop new skills, and prepare for jobs in our community.
